Q. Why have I not received my automated signup confirmation email?
A1. If you have just signed up and have not received your temporary password, it may have been rejected by your mail service as spam. Try another signup by slightly modifying your username and supplying an alternate email address. You can always change both of these later.
A2. Make sure you haven't entered your email address incorrectly. You won't know when this happens, so sign up again with a correct email and alternate username.

A. Enter your email address and if you are in the system, your username and password will be automatically emailed to you...
